Quilt Classes

Scattered Wall hanging and/or a Table Runner

Wall-hanging project with this cool silhouette. In this piece laser cut fusible applique(s) and invisible thread work well. Two new techniques for students to enjoy; Using invisible thread without difficulty and Bargello without worry- no need to stack them in a perfect order, it comes naturally.
(Scattered Bargello technique designed by Carol Ingraham, former Sulky instructor).

Rescued Circles (A Fat Quarter and Scrap Stash Buster- Quilt As You Go Project

Original design by The Stitchin’ RN

Playing with Fat Quarters, the center fabric of each block is also the fabric for that blocks backing. You will use your sewing machines ‘Decorative Stitches’ and a Varigated thread or a variety of thread colors to produce a beautiful reversible quilt. Size will depend on how many quilt blocks you want to sew and sashing is optional. Jacquelyn’s technique for attaching each of the blocks is explained and demonstrated during the class.

Gemini- (a Villa Rose Design)

You don’t need to be a twin or born under the Gemini sign to enjoy making this quilt or table-runner; you simply have to like to learn how to make one block and move it around a bit. You will be able to make enough blocks in this class to make a quick Table-topper or the blocks for the first or second row of a quilt. This class is a good way to use up some of your scrap stash, but you could always go to the quilt shop to get new fabrics.

Family Fun Wall Quilt

No pounding holes in the walls or having to buy new picture frames. This is a wall hanging I designed and made to enjoy my family photos. It has interchangeable pockets that are made to hold a variety of photo sizes. For ease in changing out those ever-constant family/grandchildren/friends/travel photos etc. that we have now can be kept and replaced as needed.

Large Print Bargello Table Runner

Have you ever fallen in love with a large print fabric and have no idea what to do with it? This project is a great way to enjoy that fabric. I drew up a pattern after learning Carol Ingraham’s Scattered Bargello technique.

Switch-Up (original design by The Stitchin’ RN)
